Data we process

  • Data you provide voluntarily: name, surname, email, phone and your message, through the contact form or newsletter sign-up.
  • Booking data: name, contact details, stay dates and payment details, collected and managed through the Krossbooking engine when you complete a booking.
  • Browsing data and cookies: information collected automatically while browsing (see the Cookie Policy).

Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to requests sent via the contact form — pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.b/f GDPR).
  • Managing bookings and the stay — performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b), via Krossbooking.
  • Sending the newsletter — consent (Art. 6.1.a), revocable at any time.
  • Usage statistics and marketing (analytics and Google Ads cookies) — consent (Art. 6.1.a).
  • Meeting tax, accounting and legal obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).

Providing data

Providing data is optional, but not providing the necessary data may prevent us from replying or managing a booking.

Methods and retention

Data is processed with electronic tools and adequate security measures, only for as long as needed for the stated purposes and legal obligations: contractual and tax data are kept for 10 years; contact requests for as long as needed to handle them; newsletter data until consent is withdrawn.

Recipients and providers

Data may be processed on our behalf, as data processors, by service providers such as: Krossbooking (booking engine), Mailchimp (newsletter), Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and our hosting provider.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (e.g. in the USA): in that case transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

You may at any time exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15-22 GDPR) and withdraw any consent given.

To do so, write to info@veronajourneys.com or guestlysrl1@pec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
